DESIGNER | PRODUCTION MANAGER

Maternity cover – with opportunity for full-time role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Designer | Production Manager to join the dynamic Accessories team at SANCIA. You will play a pivotal role in the sourcing, development, and ranging of the Women’s Leather Bags and Accessories categories.

THE ROLE:

Research and identify key trends, items, colours, and styles for each season, aligning them with the brand aesthetic.
Develop and sketch designs as necessary for presentations and in-house meetings.
Liaise with factories, suppliers, and agents to develop and produce required products, attending supplier product development meetings.
Attend fittings, provide technical fit reports, and adjust designs as needed.
Range presentation to external showrooms each season.
Maintain responsibility for timely completion of design-related tasks to ensure on-time delivery of all products.
Bring experience in collection planning and execution.
A fresh perspective and the creative energy to help shape what’s next.
Passion for sustainable design and conscious creation.
Provide ad hoc design support to other areas of the business as needed.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Proven experience in a similar role within the fashion industry.
A tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or related field (preferred)
Strong design and product development skills, with proficiency in sketching and tech pack creation.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
An understanding and connection to the SANCIA aesthetic and brand direction.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
Strong illustration and technical drawing abilities.
Be exceptionally well organized and methodical.
Strong computer skills particularly with Illustrator, Photoshop, Outlook, Internet Research, Excel.
