Thank you for purchasing a SANCIA bag. This very special piece has been handcrafted by carefully selected and skilled artisans.

SANCIA leather goods are crafted in the finest skins available. These premium leathers are natural and unique: any tonal variations, marks or veins are natural features and should not be considered imperfections.

The concept of good leather care is to maintain these coatings for as long as possible. When allowed to build up, grime, dust, body oils and food stains can breakdown the coatings, which may change the condition and appearance of your leather item.
Remember your SANCIA bag is an organic artifact, and as lustrous as your new purchase may be, when left to its own devices it can become dehydrated and dull over time.

To ensure your SANCIA bag ages beautifully, we recommend these key instructions are followed:

• Each piece is a delicate item, please handle gently.
• SANCIA items with braiding and weaving should avoid rubbing, sharp objects and be handled with extra care.
• Suede and nubuck products must be handled with utmost care, please avoid contact with dirt, rain or other sources of water.
• Avoid exposing your leather goods to humidity and direct sources of heat.
• Prevent any contact with greasy substances (make-up) and alcohol (perfume, solvent)
• Avoid contact with rough or abrasive materials.
• Avoid rough handling to metal hardware as the coating may chip, and clean  with a soft dry cloth.
• Please do not overload your bag.
• Waterproof your SANCIA leather goods and maintain it with a professional leather conditioner regularly.
• Please take specific care of white or light-coloured bags to avoid stains, as it is difficult to clean them.
• Light colour leather is prone to absorbing other dyes it comes into contact with, so please take care when wearing items like denim with a light coloured bag.  Spraying with a protector will help protect your bag but cannot be guaranteed by
SANCIA
• Please avoid placing your SANCIA bag on the floor.
• To clean your leather goods, wipe with a clear, non-abrasive and soft dry cloth.
• In case of contact with water, do not rub the leather: use a clear dry cloth and apply a gentle tapping motion to absorb the liquid.
• If stains occur, dab the area with soap and a damp soft cloth and leave to air dry.  Apply a clear leather cream using gentle circling motions.
• Always store your SANCIA bag in the dust bag and box provided when not in use.
• SANCIA cannot assume responsibility for the eventual deterioration and mishandling of the products.

'BICKMORE, BICK 4 LEATHER CONDITIONER'

We recommend this for all products as it accomplishes four important jobs. It is effective on all smooth, finished leathers, including exotics. Unlike other brands, BICK 4 is a wax and silicone-free product that will not seal pores of leather thereby affecting breath-ability. Bick 4 will not darken any colour cast leather or deteriorate the stitching.

SUEDE / NUBUCK CARE

The process of cleaning suede is simpler than leather but requires a little more frequency and effort, simply because of the delicate nature of the material.
We recommend using 'Fiebings suede and Nubuck cleaner kit bar and brush'
This product highly recommended for all SANCIA suede products, it will instantly revitalise the suede and look brand new.
The suede cleaner kit contains a cleaning bar/block, which erases dirt, and a nylon bristled brush that restores the nap.

Use the suede cleaning brush to lightly brush away dust or dirt that has accumulated on your suede lining. Don't go back and forth: brush repeatedly towards the same direction. Once you get off this layer of grime, your suede will already look newer.
From here on out, brush your suede lining with a suede brush once every few weeks. This will revive the nap (the raised hair, or threads on the surface of the suede) and remove any excess surface dirt that may have accumulated.

USE AN ERASER FOR STUBBORN MARKS.

Scuffs and marks that won't brush out can often be removed by rubbing with the Fiebings suede and Nubuck cleaner kit bar. Apply a moderate amount of pressure and increase for tougher marks. Lightly rub edge of suede bar back and forth in several directions over soiled area. For deep stains and marks, apply more pressure (causing the suede bar to crumble and increase its effectiveness).

PROTECT YOUR SUEDE.

Once your bag is clean (or even better, when you first purchase), spray on a coat of suede protector. This will help prevent further stains and marks. Follow the manufacturer's directions. Please note, spraying with a protector will help protect your bag but cannot be guaranteed by SANCIA.
